Former Rajasthan Chief Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the External Affairs Ministry to ensure safe return of 120 devotees of the Ramsnehi faith from war-hit Dubai.

The senior Congress leader made the appeal through a post on his “X” handle late Sunday night. He wrote: “Manohar DasJi and Amrit Ram Ji –, the two disciples of Ram PrasadJi Maharaj of the Ram-snehi faith — and around 120 others have gone to Dubai from Jodhpur for attending Katha recital. They are trapped in the emirate following a sudden outbreak of war involving Iran, Israel, the US and others in the Gulf region.

“On getting the report about these stranded Indians from Jodhpur at around midnight on Saturday, I immediately talked to Manohar DasJi Maharaj and some non-resident Marwadis there. They told me that the group (of Jodhpur) was properly being taken care of by the Marwadi people settled there”.

He requested the competent authorities in the External Affairs Ministry to ensure that these people are brought back to Jodhpur safe.
