Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, at the inauguration of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 on Tuesday, said inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali languages have now been included in the vocational education curriculum in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that students pursuing vocational education will be able to choose and study any of these languages according to their interests, and the state government will provide full support.

The Chief Minister said that Kashi Tamil Sangamam is also providing a new platform for learning the Tamil language.

He said that the Chettiar community has been providing worship materials to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple for over two hundred years. Tamil culture is still clearly visible around Kedar Ghat, Hanuman Ghat, and Harishchandra Ghat in Kashi.

On this occasion, he stated that the main gate of the newly constructed Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya is named after Adi Shankaracharya and Jagadguru Ramanandacharya, while the other three gates are named after South Indian sages and saints who spread the devotion of Lord Rama in South India. Statues of these three great saints have also been installed in Brihaspati Kund.

The Chief Minister said that the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given new energy to India’s cultural and spiritual consciousness. Over the last four years, more than 260 million devotees have visited Kashi, with the largest number of them coming from South India.

He also informed that a large number of devotees from Uttar Pradesh visit Rameshwaram, Madurai, and Kanyakumari every year. The state government will now make special arrangements for visiting these holy sites through the Tourism Department and will provide travel facilities at concessional rates.
