In yet another case of a murderous assault after stalking, a 18-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a stalker at a Greater Noida shopping plaza, who after committing the crime attempted to kill himself.
As per media reports, the accused, identified as Kuldeep Singh, had come to the mall where the woman used to work at a shop, at around 11.30 am on Friday. The woman was going to toilet on the first floor when the accused grabbed her and stabbed her several times.
After being attacked by Kuldeep, the women began to scream for help due to which shopkeepers emerged from their shops. On noticing the shopkeepers, Kuldeep began threatening the public with knife, while he tried to escape the mall.

Meanwhile, the police was informed about the crime and within minutes, cops came to the spot. The accused tried to flee the spot but after seeing the police he went upstairs and stabbed himself too.
The police rushed both the woman and Kuldeep to a hospital. The woman succumbed to her injuries, while the condition of the accused is stated to be critical.
The woman’s relatives said that the man was stalking her for last few months. Her parents had then arranged an auto-rickshaw for her. She was living with her family members in Dadri.
Police have registered a murder case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Kuldeep, a resident of Gautampuri in Dadri.
