Samajwadi Party National President and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party MLAs would corner the government in the budget session on issues such as rising inflation, corruption, unemployment, women’s safety, and other concerns.

Speaking at a press conference after a meeting of MLAs at the Samajwadi Party’s state headquarters in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said the law and order situation in the state has collapsed.

“Many people associated with the ruling party are involved in the codeine syrup case. Criminals are escaping from jail. The officials who helped them escape are high-ranking. Criminals are being allowed to escape because the government’s days are numbered. Everyone is trying to secure their positions. It has been heard that a criminal was helped to escape, escorted, and directly taken to Nepal,” he alleged.

As regards the trade deal with the US, Akhilesh Yadav said it is not a deal, but a concession. This trade deal will create a crisis for agriculture. How will our farmers and MSMEs compete with the US? The government is not helping farmers and MSMEs at all. Farmers, small industries, everyone will be ruined. “Which is greater, zero or 18 per cent,” he asked.

The US will impose an 18 per cent tariff on goods coming from India, while there is a zero tariff on goods coming from there. Yadav claimed that the BJP is still giving false assurances. The BJP government has handed over the entire market to foreigners.”

The SP president said that the government has increased real estate values. The public has no hope from the BJP government. In all these years, the BJP has disappointed the public. Now, this is the last budget of this government. The public has no expectations from it. The BJP government doesn’t care about anyone. It doesn’t care about farmers or the youth. If the government cared about the people, would inflation have risen so much? Would gold have become so expensive? Everything is so expensive that poor families will not be able to marry off their daughters. If this situation continues, people will have to wear brass instead of gold.

Akhilesh Yadav further alleged that the BJP is colluding with the Election Commission to manipulate the electoral rolls. The Election Commission is acting as an ally of the BJP. The BJP is conspiring to get votes removed from the electoral rolls by forging signatures, targeting the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) and especially minorities.

With the help of Samajwadi Party workers, PDA guardians, YouTubers, and journalists, the BJP’s fraudulent activities are being exposed across the state. Despite rules and regulations against such fraud, the Election Commission is taking no action, he charged.

He said widespread fraud is being committed through Form 7. Therefore, the Election Commission should stop the process of filling out Form 7. When the Election Commission has already completed the entire exercise through the electoral roll revision and mapping, the collection of Form 7 should be stopped.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP government has hired some agencies. These are professional people. They have data on all the polling booths in the state. They also have data on the booths where the Samajwadi Party won the elections. BJP members want to get votes removed from the electoral rolls in the booths won by the Samajwadi Party by fraudulently filling out Form 7.
