Samajwadi Party rebel MLA Puja Pal has been expelled from the party on charges of anti-party activities and indiscipline on Thursday.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav took the action on Puja Pal after she thanked Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath for fulfilling her dream to eliminate the killers of her husband Raju Pal.Raju Pal was killed by Atiq Ahmed and his brother during the 24-hour-long discussion in the state assembly on Wednesday late night.

Raju Pal was murdered by Atiq Ahmed and his brother. The remarks came during a 24-hour-long discussion in the state assembly late on Wednesday night.
Akhilesh Yadav, in the letter sent to Puja Pal today, said that she has been expelled from the party and has been removed from all posts. Now she will not be able to participate in any program of SP, he further said.
Earlier, Puja Pal had openly supported the BJP during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and even cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha elections.
Last night, SP faced major embarrassment in the state assembly when party MLA Puja Pal praised CM Yogi Adityanath on the issue of law and order.
Puja had said that she too got justice due to the zero tolerance policy towards crime.
