A soldier of the Army, Mohamad Shaukat and his wife were killed when Pakistani troops indulged in unprovoked shelling in the civilian areas of Poonch sector on Saturday morning.
A spokesman of the army said that Shaukat, who was in the territorial army, had come on leave when Pakistani shells landed at his house in Poonch killing him and his wife.
He said that the Pakistan army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 6.3O am in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LoC).
