Founder president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai, where he underwent medical tests as a precautionary measure.
Speaking to media persons, his daughter Supriya Sule who is also Working National President of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP as well as the party’s Lok Sabha MP said that her 85-year-old father Sharad Pawar has been admitted to the hospital for routine check-up and some medical tests. More information about his health will be available only after his medical reports arrive, Supriya Sule said.
Sharad Pawar was admitted to a hospital in Pune last month due to ill health. He was discharged after a few days of treatment. However, today, he was admitted to the hospital once again, raising concerns among the workers.
According to the information received, Sharad Pawar ‘s condition is currently stable. Considering his age and recent health condition, he has been admitted to the hospital only as a precaution. A decision regarding further treatment or discharge will be taken only after the reports of the ongoing medical tests are received.
Recently, Sharad Pawar was seen taking his oath in the Rajya Sabha while he was seated on a wheelchair and had also interacted with the media in Delhi soon after.
Earlier this year, he faced a few health issues which required hospitalisation in Pune. On February 22, he was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune due to mild dehydration and was treated with intravenous fluids before being discharged after a short stay.
Dr Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist and chairman and managing trustee of the Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, and Dr Abhijit Lodha, consultant physician at the hospital, had supervised his treatment.
A few days before that, he was hospitalised at the same hospital for a chest infection and was discharged on February 14, after he recovered under medical supervision.
