The saint community of Kashi came together and took to the streets on Friday to protest against the atrocities being perpetrated against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh and the brutal murder of young Dipu Das.
Under the banner of the Kashi Sant Samaj (Kashi Saint Society), the saints organized a massive march and protest rally, demanding that the safety of Hindus be ensured at the international level. During the protest, the saints expressed their outrage over the events unfolding in Bangladesh.
The protest march that started from Rath Yatra and culminated at Dashashwamedh Ghat, saw the group of saints carrying placards demanding justice for Dipu Das. They reached Dashashwamedh Ghat chanting slogans of “Jai Sanatan Dharma” and expressing their anger.
The program was attended by prominent figures, including Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pranava Chaitanyapuri Ji Maharaj, Brahmachari Divya Chaitanya Ji Maharaj, Swami Jitendranand Ji Maharaj, Swami Radhavanand Ji Maharaj, Swami Anaghanand Ji Maharaj, Swami Balak Das Ji Maharaj, Swami Jagdishwaranand Das Ji Maharaj, Rishikesh Brahmachari, Swami Brahmanand Ji Maharaj, and Swami Soham Chaitanyapuri Ji Maharaj. In addition, other respected saints of Kashi also strongly condemned the violence in Bangladesh through their powerful speeches.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pranava Chaitanyapuri Ji Maharaj said that the saints of Kashi are issuing a warning: “Stop the genocide of Hindus!” The murder of Dipu Das is not just the murder of one individual, but an attack on the entire Sanatan Dharma community.
The saints appealed to the Indian government and international organizations to put pressure on the Bangladeshi government to protect the lives of Hindus and their temples in the country.
At the end of the protest, a lamp was lit to pay tribute to Dipu Das, and condolences were offered to his family.
