Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, reaffirming that the development of Saharanpur division is a top government priority, said its revival and integrated growth form the foundation of building a ‘New Uttar Pradesh’.
CM held a special review meeting with public representatives from Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, and Shamli under the ongoing divisional public representative dialogue series aimed at the all-round development of the state. He reviewed all proposals submitted by the representatives and directed departments to ensure timely, transparent, and quality execution.
The meeting, held at the Circuit House in Saharanpur, saw the Chief Minister engage in detailed discussions on constituency-level issues, public expectations, and developmental priorities.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with each MLA to understand the issues and development plans of their constituencies. He emphasized that the goal was not merely to review schemes, but to prioritize solutions for problems in remote areas, guided by the ground-level insights of public representatives.
Public representatives presented key development proposals in the meeting, including projects for connectivity to block headquarters, interlinking roads, access to religious sites, bypasses, ROBs, underpasses, flyovers, bridges, road safety, and irrigation infrastructure.
These initiatives aim to address geographical challenges and boost the local economy. CM Yogi directed that all interstate connectivity projects in the Saharanpur division be prioritized in the first phase action plan based on MLAs’ recommendations. He also instructed the Urban Development Department to mandatorily consult local representatives before drafting any project proposals.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the experience and local insight of public representatives should guide governance and policymaking. He stated that the government’s goal is not just to draft plans, but to ensure their timely and effective implementation on the ground.
The CM directed officials to base policies on regional inputs and ensure that every scheme delivers concrete results through clear accountability, effective use of technology, and uncompromised quality. He also urged public representatives to actively monitor development works in their areas and help shape projects in line with public expectations.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the revered Baba Jaharveer Goga Mhadi temple on Gangoh Road in Saharanpur. He performed rituals and inaugurated the newly developed Amrit Sarovar within the temple premises. This ancient site hosts an 800-year-old tradition—a three-day fair held every Sawan Shukla Paksha Dashami, drawing lakhs of devotees from across the country to offer Nishan and Prasad. The Yogi government has beautified the historic pond, now developed as Amrit Sarovar.
