Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Wednesday that the Sangh is snot a remote control of the BJP.

“Sangh volunteers join the BJP and have even progressed there. However, it is wrong to say that the Sangh runs the BJP. However, those who oppose the BJP are the ones who oppose the RSS,” he clarified during a programme here at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Wednesday evening.

Commenting on US tariffs, Bhagwat said, “This is their old method. They want to force us to bow down using their arms and economic power. But India is so strong that it will not bow down to them. Our people are prepared. Therefore, this will not affect India.”

Regarding freeing temples from government control, the RSS chief said, “The question is who will take care of the temples, who will ensure regular worship there? The Sikh community manages its gurdwaras very well. The country’s religious leaders should deliberate on this, and society should take responsibility.”
