As polling is underway for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shakti Singh Yadav expressed confidence that the Mahagathbandhan is poised for a decisive victory, stating that the people of Bihar are eager to see Tejashwi Yadav take oath as Chief Minister.

Yadav noted that the first phase of polling, held on November 6 across 121 constituencies, reflected a strong public trend in favour of Mahagathbandhan candidates. “Over 80 percent of seats show signs of a public trend favouring the Mahagathbandhan candidates. Today is the second phase. There is uneasiness among those who, by seizing power, have pushed Bihar into disarray. They have made it a victim of administrative chaos,” he said.

Commenting on voter turnout in the ongoing second phase, Yadav highlighted the enthusiasm at polling stations across the state as a reflection of the public’s desire for change. “The long queues, the spirited crowds, and the smiles on women voters’ faces are a testament to the mood in Bihar today. The people want to witness Tejashwi Yadav’s swearing-in on the 18th,” he added.
