An FIR was registered Wednesday against Rishi Jolly, son of former Delhi BJP MLA Vijay Jolly, following a complaint filed by a woman alleging voyeurism, outraging her modesty, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.

The case has been registered at the Tughlak Road Police Station in New Delhi.

When contacted by The Statesman, Vijay Jolly alleged that the “complainant is a fraud who had filed several similar FIRs in the past to extort money.”

He further claimed, “His son had been in a consensual live-in relationship with the woman.” According to him, the woman, an NRI, made the allegations “only after the relationship ended.”

Rishi Jolly also filed an application seeking the court’s permission to “inspect the documents submitted by the woman.”

The woman, however, filed a reply challenging the maintainability of the inspection sought by the proposed accused, Rishi Jolly.

The application contends that Jolly has no “locus standi” to seek any relief at the present stage, as the court had not yet passed any order on the matter.

“The proposed accused is a complete stranger to these proceedings. He has no legal identity before this Court. He has no status, no standing, and no right of any kind,” the application states.

The complainant had approached the Patiala House Courts seeking directions for registration of an FIR, after filing a complaint under Section 223 of the BNSS on January 13, 2026. She has alleged several cognizable offences, including physical violence, sexual abuse, voyeurism, criminal intimidation, and defamation against Rishi Jolly and his mother, Rashmi Jolly.A simultaneous application under Section 175(3) of the BNSS was also filed, seeking registration of an FIR.

Police said they are looking into the matter.
