BJP National President JP Nadda has asked the voters not to support the mafia in the elections, but to go for a development-oriented political party.

“When the right button is pressed in the EVM, a medical college is set up, but a wrong button gives a mafia in the area,” he castigated rival parties without naming any.

The BJP chief, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, inaugurated the Mission 2024 from Ghazipur on Friday.

Addressing a public meeting organised at ITI Ground, the BJP president said there was a need to use votes properly. He said Ghazipur will also become a partner in the double-engine government by rejecting the mafia in the upcoming elections.

Before the speech, Nadda bowed down to the abode of saints and sages. “Ghazipur has changed. Now, it takes one and a half hours to reach from Kashi,” he claimed.

Without taking names, Nadda attacked Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari, MP from Ghazipur. He said there was a mistake in electing the MP in the last election. Now, the Ghazipur MP is busy getting his brother out of jail. Now, it’s time a call was given for the end of the mafia raj so that lotus could bloom for peace and development, he added.

The BJP president said that development means diamond (HIRA in Hindi). He went on to decode it saying the letter “H” stands for Highway, “I” for Internet, “R” for Railways and “A” for Airways. This is the new story of development.

He said during the time of former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, money was siphoned off. But today, development work like airport, medical college, AIIMS, expressway are being made in the state under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister Yogi. “By writing the story of development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given birth to a new politics,” he claimed.

Nadda said that today when the whole world is facing economic recession, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world, leaving Britain behind. Our growth in electronics has become 6 times and we are exporting Rs 70,000 crores.

“About 97 per cent mobiles are being made in the country. Cheap and effective medicines are being made in the country. During the Corona pandemic, we delivered vaccines to more than 100 countries. India has now become a giver and not a taker. India has reached the third position in the world by leaving Japan in the field of automobiles,” he added.

The BJP president said that there was a time when the prime minister of the country used to say that “I send one rupee from here, 15 paise reaches 85 don’t know where it goes?” But today, through Direct Benefit Transfer, Rs 6,000 are being transferred annually to the accounts of lakhs of farmers.

He further said that people are sitting without masks in today’s public meeting. This is the gift of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
