The Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court in New Delhi has extended the custody of Zamir Ahmed Ahangar and Tufail Ahmad Shah for five more days. Both were arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast that shook the national capital on November 10, 2025.
The accused were brought before the court after completing ten days of remand. Special NIA Judge Pitambar Dutt, presiding over the case in a closed courtroom, approved the extension. However, the NIA had requested a longer 15-day custody to continue its investigation.
Investigation period extended for others
The court has also extended the investigation period by 45 days for Bilal Nasir Malla and Yasir Ahmad Dar, who are linked to the case. Earlier, on February 25, the same court had remanded Zamir and Tufail to 10 days of NIA custody.
