Himachal Pradesh has achieved a major milestone with the settlement of 4.62 lakh revenue cases between October 2023 and October 2025.
A spokesperson of the state government stated here on Sunday that 4,62,590 pending revenue cases have been resolved between October 2023 and October 2025 through the state’s flagship initiative, ‘Rajsav Lok Adalats’. These include 3,85,634 mutations, 24,044 partitions, 42,123 demarcations, and 11,789 corrections in revenue records.
This large-scale disposal of cases, he said, marks a significant step towards ensuring timely justice and easing the burden on citizens who had long awaited the resolution of land-related matters.
He said the initiative has brought substantial relief to landowners by providing quick and accessible redressal of matters that earlier required multiple visits to revenue offices. Rajsav Lok Adalats are now being organised at Sub-Tehsil and Tehsil levels across the state during the last two days of every month, making them easily accessible even in remote areas. With this convenient platform available close to home, a growing number of people are coming forward to resolve their grievances in a hassle-free manner.
The spokesperson said the present state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has undertaken major reforms in the Revenue Department to enhance transparency and efficiency. The launch of Rajsav Lok Adalats on 30 October 2023 has emerged as one of the most impactful measures, as it has enabled faster disposal of long-pending cases that had been delayed for years.
He added that following the Chief Minister’s directives, the Revenue Department has been working in mission mode to clear pendencies and provide much-needed relief to people facing delays in mutation, partition and demarcation processes.
The government remains committed to delivering quality, accessible and time-bound services as part of its broader resolve to strengthen good governance. This initiative has saved citizens considerable time and money, reducing repeated visits to offices and cutting procedural delays.
The spokesperson further said that the overwhelming public response to Rajsav Lok Adalats reflects the growing trust in the system. The state government has accorded top priority to resolving revenue matters swiftly, reaffirming its commitment to easing the difficulties of the common man.
