A select group of 100 farmers from various parts of Rajasthan will undertake study tours to the Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand under the state government’s Agro Knowledge Enhancement Programme.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved the proposal for the tours on Thursday, subject to mandatory sanctions and clearances.

The selected farmers will travel abroad in batches on week-long exposure visits to study the latest technology and conventional practices in agriculture and the allied sectors. Practices in the cooperative sector will also be a major focus for study and orientation training.

The tours will be organised between November 2025 and March 2026, an official spokesperson said.

The state government has launched several welfare initiatives to empower farming communities, including the Agricultural Knowledge Enhancement Programme.

The implementation of such measures will soon have a positive impact on their living conditions, the spokesperson said.
