Rajasthan is set to make major strides in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Technology (IT). A mega Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence (COE-AI) will soon be established in the state to encourage and support innovative initiatives in this rapidly emerging domain.

The COE-AI will serve as the principal component in the framework being developed to implement the newly formulated Rajasthan AI Policy 2025. The Centre will play a pivotal role in advancing AI-driven innovative projects by coordinating with startups, educational institutions, and the private sector.

The Rajasthan AI Policy 2025 is in alignment with the national India AI Mission and is based on three fundamental tenets, an official spokesperson said.

The first aim is to adopt morally acceptable and responsive artificial intelligence; the second is to achieve rapid skill development in the state; and the third is to create a strong and extensive digital infrastructure.

The policy will enhance the applicability and outcomes of the state’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Realities (AVGC-XR) Policy, which was launched last year and is now being upgraded.

These initiatives will pave the way for transforming Rajasthan into a hub of a creative and vibrant economy. The transformation from animation to extended reality will open up new and greater avenues for employment and investment.

Four Atal Inovation Studios and Accelerators will be set up with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. An Agriculture Accelerator Mission is also being set up to enhance the beneficial application technology in farming activities, the spokesperson said.
