Rajasthan has achieved the laudable feat of surpassing its target of planting 10 crore saplings under the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ mega campaign this monsoon season, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said.

“Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, we had set a target of planting 10 crore trees in the current monsoon season this year. We have already exceeded this ambitious mark by planting 10,21,22,351 plants, since April 1 until August 19, 2025”, Chief Minister Sharma has announced here.

Plants/trees of 53 species have been planted in 41 districts of the state during the massive drive, he said.

Earlier, Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma called on CM Sharma to brief him on detailed account of attaining the target.

The Forest Minister also presented a sapling to the Chief Minister. Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham was also present.

Since the monsoon season is yet to last, the plantation drive would continue, Sharma said, adding “our government has set a target of planting 50 crore trees during the 5-year term of our government.”
