A Rajasthan Police head constable deployed in the security of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was nabbed by the SoG sleuths for allegedly buying a tainted Police SI Recruitment Examination 2021 paper for his son.
According to official sources, the accused Raj Kumar Yadav and his son Bharat Yadav were arrested by the SoG late Friday night (around 02:00 AM) from their residence here.
HC Yadav was earlier posted in the security of the then Minister Mahendrajit Singh Malviya and had a good rapport with Malviya’s then personal secretary, Kundan Pandey. He allegedly bought paper for the tainted SI recruitment examination from then RPSC member Babu Lal Katara. Katara provided the paper to Pandey and Pandey in turn gave it to Head Constable Yadav.
Both Katara and former Minister Malviya’s private secretary Pandey have already been arrested by the SoG. Ex-minister Malviya is presently in the BJP.
The SI examination in reference was held in September 2021. Bharat Yadav, for whom head constable Yadav procured the paper, had passed the written examination, however, he could not get through the physical test.
The father-son duo was presented before the court to seek remand. The court remanded them in police custody for 3 days.
