Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will host the ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ in Kolkata on October 28 to connect with the city’s Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) community.
The event, the third in the series after Hyderabad and Surat, is part of a broader initiative to build momentum for the much-anticipated ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on December 10, 2025.
Besides Chief Minister Sharma, Minister for Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Jhabar Singh Kharra, Additional Chief Secretary (Rural Development) Shreya Guha, Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce) Alok Gupta, Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation, Manisha Arora, Commissioner, Bureau of Investment Promotion, Suresh Kumar Ola, and other senior officials of the state government will also take part in the event.
They will interact with NRR industrialists, businessmen, and entrepreneurs, and seek their active contribution to the state’s progress. By fostering engagement and encouraging investment in the state, the event aims to strengthen the bond between Rajasthan and its global diaspora, ensuring their continued involvement in the state’s growth story.
The officials will also hold one-on-one meetings with CEOs from various business sectors, including textiles and hosiery, chemicals, and mining.
During previous Pravasi NRR Meets held in Hyderabad and Surat, Chief Minister Sharma actively encouraged Non-Resident Rajasthanis to explore new opportunities in Rajasthan. He emphasised the state government’s commitment to building a vibrant ecosystem in which their contributions are both celebrated and leveraged for the state’s inclusive and sustainable development.
The ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ in Kolkata is being organised in association with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the event industry partner of the ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’ 2025.
