Around 25 lakh aspirants are expected to appear in the written test being held by the Rajasthan Staff Recruitment Board for filling 53,749 posts of the 4th class (grade) employee in government service.
The written examination began on Friday in most of the districts of the state, which would be conducted in six shifts over three days, until Sunday.
“As many as 1,300 examination centers are established in 38 districts to conduct the exam”, an official spokesman said here on Friday. Around 75,000 examinees appeared in the first shift, with 84 per cent attendance, in Jaipur alone. An equal number of candidates were eligible to appear in the second shift on the first day today.
The recruitment for the 4th-grade employees in the state is taking place after nearly 20 years.
The criteria of educational qualification for the post is metric (class 10). However, a very large number of job-seeking youths with higher educational qualifications as high as graduation, post-graduation, and professional degrees, appeared for the exam.
