The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly received yet another bomb threat on Monday, marking the third such incident in the past two weeks.

According to officials, a threatening email addressed to the Speaker was received on the Assembly’s official email ID at around 5:43 a.m. The message claimed that five “Silicone-100-based RDX explosive devices” had been planted within the premises and would detonate at noon.

“This is not a joke. Evacuate all the VIPs,” the sender reportedly wrote in the email.

Following the alert, Rajasthan Police, along with other security and intelligence agencies, conducted a thorough search of the entire Assembly complex. However, as with the previous two incidents, the threat was later declared a hoax.

Earlier, similar threat emails were received on April 13 and again last week. Investigators noted a pattern in the messages, with the sender attempting to link the threats to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), making references to Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence and mentioning the Tamil Nadu Police.

Copies of the latest email were also sent to the Assembly Secretary’s ID and reportedly to an email address linked to Islamabad.

Officials said the suspicious nature and unclear origin of the emails remain a matter of concern, and efforts are underway to trace the sender and verify the authenticity of the claims.

Meanwhile, a similar bomb threat was reported at the Passport Office in Sikar earlier in the day. That alert, too, was later confirmed to be a hoax.
