The budget session of the Rajasthan State Assembly will commence on January 28 and is likely to last for about a month.
The requisite notification for convening the Assembly was issued on Monday. The session will begin with the inaugural address by Governor Haribhau Kishanrao Bagade, Speaker Vasudev Devnani said.
Apart from the regular legislative business, including Question Hour, Zero Hour, Call Attention motions and Adjournment motions, the state budget for the financial year 2026–27 will also be presented during the month-long session, the Speaker said.
An all-party meeting will also be convened ahead of the session to coordinate with the Opposition and ensure smooth proceedings in the House, Devnani added.
The state budget is likely to be presented in the House in the first half of February. The exact date will be finalised by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC).
The last monsoon session of the House was held from September 1 to 10, 2025, and comprised six sittings.
