The All Rajasthan State Employees United Federation (ARSEUF) has warned the Ashok Gehlot Government that if its 15-point charter of demands, including the fixation of pay scale under the 7th pay commission, is not accepted, the state employees will go on an agitation.

A delegation of the federation led by its coordinator Mahavir Sharma, and Tej Singh Rathore, general secretary, submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary Usha Sharma on the 15 demands of the employees yesterday.

In a statement here, Mahavir Sharma, the convener of the Sangharsh Samiti of the federation, said that for the last four years, the federation has been giving memorandum to the state government regarding its demands. Every time, the chief minister accepted their demands and assured them of holding bilateral talks, but not a single demand has been met, Sharma lamented.

Due to this, there is a lot of resentment and disappointment among the employees, Rathore said adding that the federation has always been in favour of settlement of the demands through negotiations, but the government is misleading the employees through one-sided half-baked announcements which has led to a communication gap between the government and the employees.

He further said that the government has given time till November 30, 2022 for the positive redressal of their demands and compliance of the written agreements of the constituent organisations. If a solution is not found during this time, the federation will start an agitation for the benefit of eight lakh employees of the state.

The federation’s main demands included repealing the amendments made in the year 2017 in the fifth schedule of the pay scales of the employees, according to the fifth schedule released in the year 2013, fixation should be done in the Seventh Pay Commission, on the policy of equal work equal pay. The same seventh pay scale should be implemented.

In place of Assured Career Progression (ACP), the pay scale of the post of promotion should be approved on 7-14-21-28 and 32 years of service, cadre strengthening of various employee cadres should be promoted on time, discrepancies in the new pension scheme should be removed by withdrawing the Contract Rule 2022 issued by the Government of Rajasthan, all contract workers should be regularized in accordance with point number 10 of the public manifesto, and Ministerial staff should be given secretariat Equal promotion opportunities and salary allowances should be approved.
