Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday paid tribute to those killed in the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, remembering the victims and asserting that India would remain united and resolute against terrorism.

In a post on X marking the anniversary of the attack, Gandhi said, “I pay my heartfelt tribute to all the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam last year.” Emphasising accountability and remembrance, he added, “India will neither forget their sacrifice nor the pain of their families, and will never forgive those responsible for this heinous act.”

Reflecting on the emotional impact of the tragedy, he said the memory of innocent lives lost continues to shake the nation’s conscience, adding that the grief of the families is shared by the entire country. He noted that the sacrifice of those killed would remain forever etched in the soul of India.

Reiterating the country’s collective stance, Gandhi said the nation has always stood united against terrorism and violence and would continue to do so. He underscored the need for resilience, asserting that India would never bow before forces that spread hatred and fear, but instead confront them with greater strength, unity, and resolve.

The 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam, which targeted civilians at a popular tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, had triggered widespread outrage and led to intensified counter-terror operations. Its anniversary has been marked by tributes from leaders across political parties, with many reaffirming solidarity with the victims’ families and the nation’s commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms.
