The Congress is set to launch a nationwide campaign against the growing crisis of paper leaks, examination irregularities, rising unemployment, and the alleged “systematic betrayal of youth” by the Narendra Modi-led government.

The first phase of the campaign will comprise four mega Youth Conventions in Kota, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Patna, and Delhi, beginning on June 17.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will address all four conventions. The first convention will be held in the coaching hub of Kota on June 17, followed by Prayagraj on July 10, Patna on July 11, and Delhi on July 14, according to a Congress release issued here on Saturday, quoting AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal.

The conventions will bring together students, job aspirants, youth organisations, educators, and others directly affected by examination scandals and recruitment irregularities.

The campaign will highlight the hardships faced by millions of young Indians whose futures, the party alleges, are being repeatedly jeopardised by paper leaks, rising examination costs, and the government’s failure to ensure a fair and transparent education and recruitment system, Venugopal said in the release.

As part of the nationwide campaign, the Congress will reiterate Rahul Gandhi’s call to mobilise students through extensive outreach by the NSUI, Youth Congress, PCCs, DCCs, and local party units across the country.

Reflecting Gandhi’s conviction that the aspirations of young Indians must not be sacrificed to corruption, incompetence, or political indifference, the movement aims to unite students beyond political affiliations and provide a platform for affected youth to share their experiences and demand accountability for repeated examination failures and paper leak scandals.

The movement will also take to the streets the demands earlier articulated by Rahul Gandhi, including the decentralisation of NEET, abolition of examination fees, strict legal action against those involved in paper leak rackets, and accountability at the highest levels of government, including the resignation of the Union Education Minister.

The party will further seek a comprehensive discussion in Parliament on the crisis confronting India’s youth and advocate legislative measures to safeguard their interests, rights, and future, the release added.
