To counter the government in Parliament, Congress President Rahul Gandhi will on Thursday hold a high-level meeting with senior party leaders ahead of the Budget Session that commences on January 29.
“Rahul Gandhi will meet senior party leaders tomorrow (Thursday) to chalk out a strategy for upcoming budget session of Parliament,” a party leader said.
The Budget session of Parliament will commence from January 29 and the Budget 2017-18 would be presented on February 1.

The first phase of the session will be from January 29 to February 9. After a recess, Parliament will meet again from March 5 to April 6.
The passage of the controversial Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill along with the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance (FRDI) Bill is expected during the session.
