In a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his ‘vote chori’ claim, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said, “Rahul Gandhi ka dimaag chori ho gaya hai (Rahul Gandhi’s mind has been stolen).”
Fadnavis’ remarks came in response to the Opposition using indecent language against PM Modi and his late mother during a ‘vote Adhikar rally’ in Bihar’s Darbhanga.

Talking to ANI, the BJP leader said, “I am stating clearly that Rahul Gandhi ka dimaag chori ho gaya hai. You are called a national leader, and then you talk about such things. What right do you have to be called a national leader?…”
BJP slams Congress over derogatory language used against PM Modi
Earlier on Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebuked Congress for allegedly using ‘filthy’ language for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the latter’s late mother during a campaign rally in Bihar’s Darbhanga.
Taking to X, the BJP in a blazing attack had said, “extremely indecent language was used against the late mother of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Such depravity has never been seen before in politics.”
The BJP had said, “From the platform of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav’s journey, extremely indecent language was used against the late mother of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Such depravity has never been seen before in politics.”
The BJP’s reaction came after a video had surfaced showing a person hurling abuses at Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the stage during the Congress-RJD’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Darbhanga on Wednesday.
“This journey has crossed all limits of insult, hatred, and vulgarity. Tejashwi and Rahul had previously invited leaders like Stalin and Revanth Reddy, who had insulted the people of Bihar, to their journey, thereby humiliating the people of Bihar,” teh saffron party added.
In their desperation, they are allowing abuses to be hurled at Prime Minister Modi Ji’s late mother, teh BJP alleged. Rahul and Tejashwi have let such disgraceful language be used from their stage that it cannot even be repeated publicly, the BJP stated.
“This is such a mistake that even if Rahul and Tejashwi beg for forgiveness a thousand times by holding their ears and doing sit-ups, the people of Bihar will not forgive them. Extremely shameful!” the BJP had further stated.
Rahul Gandhi had on Wednesday hit out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his claim that the BJP would stay in power for the next 40 years. Questioning Shah’s certainty, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said, “How does he know? Through vote chori—that’s why they are so confident.”
Speaking during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, Gandhi had said, “On my way here, a group of 6-year-olds looked at me and said ‘Narendra Modi Vote chor’. Children as young as 6 years have understood that votes are being stolen in India… A few days ago, Amit Shah said that the BJP will remain in power for the next 40 years… No one knows what would happen in politics, but Amit Shah knows the future for the next 40 years. How? Vote Chori…”
Rahul had alleged that the practice of vote chori originated in Gujarat before 2014 and was expanded nationwide once the BJP came to power. According to him, the so-called “Gujarat Model” is not about economic progress but about electoral manipulation.
