ECI takes note of alleged MCC violations by Modi, Rahul Gandhi
The poll panel forwarded the complaints to BJP President JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge seeking their response by 11 am on April 29.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will on Wednesday begin his three-day tour of Gujarat anxiously seeking the support of Patidar agitation leader Hardik Patel ahead of state assembly polls.
Scheduled to address a series of meetings in Bharuch and Surat districts, the Gandhi scion will be covering five districts in three days, party leaders said.
The visit comes two days after Patel said that his organisation Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) was agreeable to explore constitutional solutions for its demand of quotas for the Patidar community.

Patel had earlier given an ultimatum to the Congress to come clear on reservations for his community under the OBC category by November 3.
Congress is keen to get support of Patel as part of its efforts to forge a wide social coalition in Gujarat for the assembly polls to be held in December.
