Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi requested the state government to provide special arrangements, including a separate room for RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, at the newly-allotted government residence at 39 Harding Road in Patna citing his health condition.

The request comes after the state’s Building Construction Department issued a 15-day notice asking her to vacate the official residence. After the notice period expired, Rabri Devi informed the government that she was currently unable to vacate the premises.

In her letter, she stated that doctors have advised special precautions in view of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health condition. According to medical advice, he remains vulnerable to infections, and therefore special arrangements, including a separate room, have been made for him at the current residence.

Rabri Devi requested the government to ensure similar facilities and dedicated accommodation for Lalu Prasad Yadav at the newly-allotted residence. She wrote that the family would shift to the new accommodation once renovation work and the necessary arrangements were completed.

Meanwhile, Rabri Devi recently visited the under-construction family bungalow in Kautilya Nagar, Patna, to inspect the premises, fuelling speculation that the family was preparing to move there.
