New Delhi, 4 November: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, today signed an international cooperation agreement to collaborate in academic programmes and in frontier areas of research in media and communication.
The agreement was signed by Bimal Julka, IIMC chairman and Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Prof. Peter Coaldrake, Vice Chancellor, Queensland University of Technology here. It envisages bringing ICT in academic programmes in a significant way. Both institutes have agreed to develop of joint venture projects and also to open avenues for developing a collaborative doctoral programme to benefit students and faculty.
The bilateral cooperation agreement envisages organisation of joint academic and scientific activities,
courses, conferences, seminars, lectures, exchange of staff and students, exchange of materials and
publications of common interest. sns
