Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the House Yogi Adityanath on Saturday urged opposition parties to raise public issues on the floor of the Assembly and engage in healthy discussions to ensure smooth proceedings and accelerate the state’s development.
Addressing an all-party meeting at the Vidhan Bhavan ahead of the Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, beginning tomorrow, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of constructive debate. “There should be healthy discussion in the House. Healthy discussion leads to the development of the state and helps resolve public problems,” he said.
Calling upon all members to act responsibly as public representatives, Yogi Adityanath said issues related to public interest should be discussed smoothly in the House and that all members must ensure that no disruption hampers the proceedings.
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana also appealed to members across party lines to extend full cooperation for the smooth functioning of the House.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president and Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, Nishad Party president and Cabinet Minister Dr Sanjay Nishad, Congress leader Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’, Nishad Party leader Ramesh Singh, Lok Dal’s Rajpal Baliyan and Apna Dal’s Ramnivas Verma, among others.
