Pradeep Nair, Professor and Director Research at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as a senior fellow at Indo Pacific Studies Center (IPSC), Sydney, Australia.
He has been assigned the role of Project Lead in the Environmental Policy Lab of the Center, an official document said on Wednesday.
Drawing from diverse backgrounds across government, academia, defence, and civil society, the Senior Fellows of IPSC help shape the Center’s research agenda, guide strategic initiatives, and represent IPSC in high-level dialogues across the Indo-Pacific and beyond, it said.
The Indo Pacific Studies Center is a non-partisan think tank that advances strategic dialogue, regional cooperation, and policy innovation across the Indo-Pacific through interdisciplinary research, leadership development, and diplomatic engagement.
Professor Nair works in environmental governance, media and policy research, climate adaptation and coastal sustainability and is affiliated with the Earth System Governance Project, UNEP, UNFCCC and International Nitrogen Network.
As a Senior Fellow, he will provide strategic guidance to IPSC initiatives, particularly within the IPSC Environmental Policy Lab and will collaborate in the development of flagship projects and multilateral research proposals, it added.
