President Droupadi Murmu on Friday participated in the concluding ceremony of the nine-day-long 1008 Kundaliya Hanuman Mahayajna and prayed for the peace and prosperity in the nation.
The President landed at the Sanganer International airport here this afternoon for a brief visit, drove straight to Nindar Housing scheme on the outskirts of the state capital to attend the most pious and mega yagna that has been performed with simultaneous sacred offerings to Lord Hanuman into 1008 yajna-agni-pits.
The yagna is organised by the Ramanand Mission under guidance of renowned saint Swami Rambhadracharya.
Murmu also offered holy Aahutis (Oblations) in the yajna fire pit and prayed for the well-being of all and peace and prosperity in the country.
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma were present on the occasion. They also made holy offerings – Aahutis.
