President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Indore on June 18 on a five-day visit to Madhya Pradesh. During her stay in the state till June 22, the President is scheduled to visit Omkareshwar, one of the 12 Jyotirlings, and also go to the Kuno National Park, India’s only Cheetah territory.
Officials informed on Wednesday that the President will arrive in Indore from Delhi on June 18 and will proceed to Betul, where she will attend a programme of the Brahma Kumaris Institute.
According to the officials, Murmu will arrive in Omkareshwar on the evening of June 18 and will perform darshan and aarti at the temples of Omkareshwar and Mamleshwar. She will attend a programme organised on June 19 on International Sickle Cell Day as the chief guest.
They said that the President will visit Jabalpur on the evening of June 20 to attend the International Yoga Day event in the city on June 21st and then attend the convocation ceremony of Rani Durgavati University.
She will also visit Kuno National Park on June 22nd and then return to Delhi.
Extensive security arrangements have been made in view of the President’s visit to the state.
