Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi to take over as next Naval chief
Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, who is presently serving as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, will be the next Chief of the Naval Staff, it was officially announced on Friday.
Celebrating its golden jubilee, the Submarine Arm of the Indian Navy on Friday received President’s Colours from Ram Nath Kovind in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
President Kovind, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces arrived in the city on a two-day visit on Thursday. Its his first visit to the southern state after assuming office.

On Thursday, Kovind had inaugurated an Aircraft Museum on Beach Road, laid the foundation stone for an e-classroom complex and incubation centre and declared the opening of the Centre for Defence Studies at Andhra University.
The President will return to Delhi on Friday evening.
