President inaugurates development project of Srisailam temple, Kurnool

The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 43.08 crore, which is 100 per cent funded by the Union Ministry of Tourism.

President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated the project ‘Development of Srisailam Temple’ at Srisailam Temple Complex, Kurnool. The project has been sanctioned and executed under PRASHAD scheme – National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive of the Ministry of Tourism.

The event was graced by the presence of Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Y Naik, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Endowments of Andhra Pradesh, Kottu Satyanarayana, Minister for Tourism, Culture & Youth Advancement RK Roja, Minister for Finance, Planning and Legislative Affairs Buggana Rajendranath, Union Secretary, Tourism, Arvind Singh and other important dignitaries.

The project has been completed with a cost of Rs 43.08 crores and 100 per cent funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The components executed in the project include interventions like amphitheatre, illuminations and sound and light show, digital interventions, tourist amenity centre, parking area, changing rooms, toilet complexes, souvenir shops, food court, ATM and banking facility.
