President Droupadi Murmu likely to visit Ayodhya in March to honour 400 workers involved in temple construction

President Droupdi Murmu is expected to visit Ayodhya on March 19. Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra said that an informal consent has been received for her visit. .

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Nripendra Mishra said a special program will be organized at the Ram Temple complex on March 19, the auspicious occasion of Hindu New Year. During this program, the President will honour approximately 400 workers who have made significant contributions to the construction of the Ram Temple.

He informed that a 400-year-old Valmiki Ramayana has been handed over to the Ram Temple Trust by the Central Sanskrit University, Delhi.

This ancient Ramayana was given to the Trust’s General Secretary, Champat Rai, and has now reached the Ram Temple complex. Along with this, the Ram Yantra Stotra, given by the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth, has also been handed over to the Trust and is being kept safely in the temple complex.

Mishra said there are plans to install these sacred texts and historical artifacts in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple. For this purpose, a special committee will be formed for the selection of ancient Ramayanas. The Ram Temple Trust will soon issue a public announcement in this regard.

He further stated that the temporary temple of Ram Lalla will be prepared as a memorial by the end of February. The memorial being built in memory of the martyrs of the Ram Temple movement will be completed by March. In addition, the construction agencies L&T and TCS will complete their work and leave Ayodhya by the end of April.

Mishra said that the Ram Temple is not only a center of faith but will also become a symbol of Indian culture and heritage.
