Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is in the news these days. Following the resounding victory in Bihar, the BJP has now appointed him as the central observer for the Bihar legislature party meeting.

However, a former national general secretary of the BJP stated, “There are currently no plans to bring Maurya into central politics. He will remain needed in Uttar Pradesh until the 2027 assembly elections. His role is also considered crucial in maintaining balance within the party.”
A political analyst stated, “Until a few years ago, a large number of workers looked to Maurya for solutions to their problems. With signs of his stature rising, the flow of workers to 7-Kalidas Marg ( Maurya’s official residence) may increase once again.”
With the Bihar assembly elections over, speculation is rife about potential changes within the BJP organisation in UP. Even long-time members within the party believe that the possibility of Maurya’s organisational role being expanded cannot be ruled out.
