The Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) on Saturday commemorated the 130th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai while observing National Science Day as Vigyan Utsav at Teen Murti Bhawan in the national capital.

The day-long celebration featured a series of educational and cultural activities, including nukkad nataks, free virtual reality shows and interactive exhibitions designed especially for children.

The festival aimed at promoting scientific temper among students and visitors through immersive learning experiences focused on astronomy and space science. A panel exhibition highlighting the life and contributions of Morarji Desai was also organised on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, PMML Director Ashwani Lohani said such initiatives not only showcase the deep democratic traditions of the country but also encourage scientific thinking in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

PMML at Teen Murti Bhawan regularly organises academic, historical and science-oriented programmes focusing on the lives, vision and contributions of India’s Prime Ministers, while promoting knowledge and public awareness among students and visitors.

In recent years, the institution has expanded its academic resources and outreach initiatives. The Prime Ministers Museum remains a unique institution globally, presenting India’s democratic journey through the lives and contributions of its Prime Ministers.
