The BJP seems all set for the inauguration of multiple projects in the region in the coming week. One of the projects will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ghaziabad on Friday.

It is believed that the BJP, in its bid to give momentum to its campaigning before the Lok Sabha elections, is on a spree to inaugurate projects in the region in a week’s time.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the proposed Rapid Rail project between Delhi and Meerut in Ghaziabad. The first phase of this proposed project will be between Sahibabad and Duhai of district Ghaziabad while it would be extended later up to Meerut.

Confirming the visit of the PM, party’s western UP president Ashwini Tyagi said that Chief minister Yogi Adityanath would be accompanying the PM.

The PM will address a gathering here which would be attended by party workers and leaders through video conferencing at Subhash Chandra Bose auditorium at CCS University of Meerut.

While the CM will address the gathering from Ghaziabad, Union Minister of Urban Development, Hardeep Puri, and UP Minister in-charge of Meerut Siddharth Nath Singh will attend the function at Meerut.

According to the sources, there could be a slew of inaugurations and foundation stone laying ceremonies before March 10 as it is speculated that the model code of conduct would come into force soon with the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal will inaugurate the newly constructed Akashwani Bhawan in Ganganar locality on Wednesday, while a foundation stone laying ceremony for a new University in Saharanpur is also on the cards.

Recently, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Meerut where he announced many projects and promised that the Meerut-Delhi Expressway would also be completed by the last week of April.
