PM Modi to launch projects worth Rs7,196 crore during his visit to Motihari

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several projects worth over Rs7,196 crore related to the overall development of Bihar during his visit to Motihari on Friday.

Bihar BJP President Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said, “This will mark the PM’s 53rd visit to Bihar in the past 11 years, which reflects the Central government’s unwavering commitment to the state’s all-round development.”

The list of developmental projects include expansion of railways, national highways and roads, rural development, strengthening of animal husbandry and the dairy sector, development of digital infrastructure through information technology, and welfare schemes for poor and rural families through self-help groups and housing programmes.

Out of these, projects worth Rs398 crore are related to railways, while Rs1,173 crore are for roads and transport. The prime minister will also announce electronics and IT-related projects worth Rs 63 crore.

Jaiswal further stated that during this visit, the prime minister will transfer Rs162 crore into the bank accounts of 40,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), and hand over house keys to 12,000 beneficiaries. In addition, he will release Rs400 crore as a financial assistance to 61,500 self-help groups.

In Motihari, district headquarters of the historic East Champaran, the prime minister will address a big public meeting to be attended by people from 24 assembly constituencies of four nearby districts.

Jaiswal said preparations for the prime minister’s programme are complete and expressed the confidence that the commitment of enthusiastic NDA workers and public support will make it a historic event. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Motihari is a moment of pride for all of us. Its success will reflect people’s unprecedented support for the NDA in the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar,” he added.
