Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the International Conference on Gyan Bharatam at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 12, a release from his office said Thursday.
During the event, he will launch the Gyan Bharatam Portal, a digital platform aimed at accelerating manuscript digitization, preservation, and public access.
The conference, themed “Reclaiming India’s Knowledge Legacy through Manuscript Heritage,” will bring together scholars, conservationists, technologists, and policy experts to discuss ways to revitalize India’s manuscript wealth.
The event will feature an exhibition showcasing rare manuscripts and presentations on critical areas such as manuscript conservation and digitization technologies.
The conference will be held from September 11-13 and aims to place India’s manuscript heritage at the heart of a global knowledge dialogue. The Gyan Bharatam Portal launch is expected to enhance public access to India’s rich manuscript legacy.
