Lucknow, the City of Nawabs, is set to get a powerful new landmark with the completion of Rashtra Prerna Sthal in the Vasant Kunj area of the city.

Spread over 65 acres, the site will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25, marking the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Ahead of the inauguration, UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh inspected the site and reviewed final preparations on Tuesday. He directed officials to ensure that all arrangements are completed smoothly ahead of the national event.

Rashtra Prerna Sthal houses 65-foot-tall bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee, along with a museum that documents key moments from their lives and public journeys. The statues have been crafted by the sculptors who also worked on the Statue of Unity, adding to the site’s artistic significance.

During the inspection, the minister interacted with artisans involved in the construction work and appreciated their craftsmanship. He said the site reflects values of nationalism, public service, and cultural consciousness, and will serve as a space of inspiration for future generations.

With the addition of Rashtra Prerna Sthal, Lucknow’s tourism landscape is set to expand beyond its already rich heritage of historic monuments, cultural institutions, and public spaces. The new landmark is expected to attract visitors interested in history, public life, and national thought, further strengthening Lucknow’s position as a key cultural destination in the country.

Senior officials from the Tourism and Culture Department, including Principal Secretary Amrit Abhijat, were present during the inspection.
