Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to Jodhpur and Balotra in Rajasthan on July 4 to inaugurate the HPCL Rajasthan refinery and the newly built terminal of the airport here, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Sunday.
In a brief chat with the media, Chief Minister Sharma said that on Saturday next week, PM Modi will arrive from New Delhi and dedicate to the nation the newly built ultra-modern terminal of the Jodhpur airport.
From there, Prime Minister Modi will proceed to Pachpadra-Balotra, where he will inaugurate the Rs 79,459-crore dream project of the HPCL Rajasthan Oil Refinery.
Besides the two ultra mega projects, Modi will also lay foundation stones or inaugurate several other projects via video conferencing, including the Jaipur Metro Rail Phase-2, involving an investment of more than Rs 13,000 crore.
Meanwhile, administrative preparations and tight security arrangements were being made at Pachpadra, the refinery premises, Balotra and Jodhpur for the smooth conduct of the functions and hassle-free VVIP movement.
Chief Minister Sharma himself flew to Jodhpur and Balotra on Sunday afternoon to take stock of the arrangements and technical and administrative preparedness at the refinery premises.
He spent more than two hours at the Pachpadra refinery and Balotra.
Earlier, the refinery was scheduled to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on April 21, 2026; however, the function was postponed following a massive fire at the refinery premises a day before the programme.
After returning from Jodhpur, Chief Minister Sharma will later fly to New Delhi, where he will attend a meeting tomorrow.
