PM Modi to open World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 (WSDS 2018) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday.

The summit has been organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).

The summit will be attended by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr Harsh Vardhan; Minister for Industries and Commerce Suresh Prabhu; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Puri; Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha and other leaders.

The major issues that are likely to be discussed in the WSDS 2018 are land degradation, waste management and possible measures to deal with air pollution.

WSDS is a platform for global business leaders to discuss on issues related to sustainable development and climate change.
