Ahead the crucial Bihar polls, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday exuded confidence in alliance and said that the wave is in favour of Mahagathbandhan this time.
“People of Bihar are in mood for change. People are fed up of this corrupt government. The wave is in favour of Mahagathbandhan this time,” he said.
Hoardings of Tejashwi, RJD candidate from Raghopur Assembly, were put up with the slogan ‘Bihar Ka Nayak’ in Patna.
Meanwhile, on PM Modi’s visit to Bihar, Tejashwi said, “These are very negative people. They cannot provide jobs, and they cannot do justice to the people, especially in Bihar.”
Slamming PM Modi and BJP, he said, “Factories are set up by the Prime Minister in Gujarat, and they only come to Bihar to take votes…Why are people of Bihar in large numbers still being forced to migrate? If one listens to each sentence of the Prime Minister, only negativity can be seen.”
On Thursday, the opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar announced former deputy chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot made the announcement during a press conference in Patna, also naming VIP chief Mukesh Sahani as the alliance’s deputy CM candidate.
The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases: November 6 and 11, with vote counting scheduled for November 14.
