Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated CP Radhakrishnan on his oath-taking as the 15th Vice President of India and wished him a successful tenure.
“A dedicated public servant, he has devoted his life to nation-building, social service and strengthening democratic values. Wishing him a successful Vice Presidential tenure, dedicated to the service of the people,” Modi said.

Radhakrishnan, a seasoned politician and former Governor of Maharashtra, was sworn in by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The event was attended by several high-profile leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda. Former Vice Presidents Hamid Ansari and Venkaiah Naidu also attended the event.
The ceremony marked a new chapter in Radhakrishnan’s career as he took on the role of Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Modi’s presence at the ceremony underscores the government’s commitment to continuity and stability in key institutions.
