PM Modi expresses condolences over tragic air crash in Dhaka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep shock and sadness over a tragic air crash in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where many young students lost their lives.

At least nineteen people were killed today, and over 100 others were injured after a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara area.

In a post on handle X, Modi conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the swift recovery of those injured.

“Deeply shocked and saddened at the loss of lives, many of them young students, in a tragic air crash in Dhaka. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families. We pray for the swift recovery of those injured,” said PM Modi, asserting, “India stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and is ready to extend all possible support and assistance.”

India and Bangladesh share strong cultural and bilateral ties, with cooperation in areas like connectivity and commerce.
