Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is engaged in uniting the country and getting rid of terrorism, Naxalism and anarchy, but some people are busy trying to break it in, on the name of  caste, region and language.
Addressing a large gathering on the occasion of 723rd birth anniversary celebrations of Shrimadjagadguru Ramanandacharya here, Yogi urged people to be careful of such elements.
He said that today, under the leadership of PM Modi, benefits of schemes are being extended to every section of the society without any discrimination. Additionally, there is ongoing work to promote awareness of India’s cultural values and spiritual glory on a global level.
The Chief Minister said that Shrimadguru Ramanandacharya, who had attained the pinnacle of spiritual practice 700 years ago, had given a befitting reply to the invaders of the Medieval period through devotion by combining all the traditions, be it ‘Sagun’ or ‘Nirgun’. “Due to this, today’s India has survived. The programme is being organized on such an occasion, when our country is completing 75 years of independence. One of the five vows that the Prime Minister has talked about is to end slavery completely, to inculcate a sense of respect for heritage.” he said.
The Chief Minister said that Jagadguru Ramanandacharya had given a message, “Jati-Pati pooche nahi koi, Hari ko bhaje so Hari ka hoi”, meaning the God almighty does not discriminate on the basis of caste, and loves every true devotee. The CM said that whatever Jagadguru Ramanandacharya did, he did for public welfare. “In that period when barbaric attacks were happening, religion was insecure, and seeds of disharmony were being sown in the society, he did the wonderful job of connecting different groups of society. By combining all the traditions of devotion, he did the work of weaving the society into one thread by sending his distinguished and excellent disciples to different places. This is a great opportunity to express our gratitude towards that wonderful legacy”, the CM remarked.
On this occasion, Dr. Ramkamal Das Vedanti, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Santosh Das Ji Maharaj, Swami Sarveshwar Sharan Ji Maharaj, office bearers of Kashi Vaishnav Sant Samaj, Cabinet Ministers of State Government Anil Rajbhar, Ministers of State Ravindra Jaiswal and Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, MLAs Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari and Saurabh Srivastava were present.
